MeLa RF03: Invited Lecture and Meetings at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

In February 2014 Perla Innocenti (University of Glasgow) was invited by the top-ranking Graduate School of Libraries and Information Science (GSLIS) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to deliver a public lecture on ‘Leveraging the power Cultural Heritage Informatics: reflective societies in a changing world’, in which she showcased MeLa research on cultural networks, globalization and migrating heritage.

In addition with several GSLIS faculty members, Perla also met and discussed MeLa research on cultural networks and migrating heritage with Professor Helaine Silverman, Director of Collaborative for Cultural Heritage Management and Policy (CHAMP) and Professor Terry Weech about his engagement with European Union Center of Excellence (EUC) at the University of Illinois.
